In late July the Canadian public was still adjusting to the concept of wearing masks, and doubters were sowing confusion about the efficacy. Fortunately, the Big Apple pie store in Colborne, took a stand. The store’s ambassador, “Mr. Apple Head”, at a height of 12 meters, sported what must be our country’s largest face mask. Located at the side of Highway 401, it was a much-needed public service reminder, that also brought a smile to the thousands of drivers passing by.
